"Footprints..." was written by Jo Ann Simons, MSW.
Jo Ann is the President/CEO of the Cardinal Cushing Centers, an intergenerational
community that supports individuals with disabilities in Massachusetts. She is
also past Board Chair of the National Down Syndrome Society and the author of
several publications including the book, The Down Syndrome Transition Handbook
(Woodbine House 2010).She consults to Special Olympics, Inc. and the Ruderman
family Foundation. Her son, Jon, has been a resident of the LIFE community
since 2001.
