The "LIFE Survivors" Basketball Team....

The LIFE Survivors team is a our Special Olympics Basketball team comprised of LIFE residents and community members.  It is a unified team in that it includes players who have disabilities and players who do not.  The "Survivors' was the only basketball team from Massachusetts to compete in the Special Olympics National Games in Nebraska in 2010. Winning bronze medals at the 2010 GAMES was a "once in a lifetime" experience!

At the National Games, LIFE resident, Anthony (Trey) Marabella wrote a poem in honor of Eunice Kennedy Shriver which he presented to her son, Tim. Read Tim Shriver's blog post about Trey's poem.

Thanks to our Special Olympics Head Coach, Maureen (Moe) McNamara, and Assistant Coach, Nancy Walsh.
